Frequently Asked Questions About Getting Started

How much does CodeXY cost?

Starter: $5K–$8K/month for 1 engineer

Growth: $12K–$25K/month for 2–3 engineers

Enterprise: Custom pricing for 4+ engineers

No setup fees. No recruiter markup. No hidden charges. Fixed pricing per month.

What if I'm not sure which plan I need?

That's normal. Book a discovery call and we'll help you figure it out. Most Starter plan customers upgrade to Growth within 2–3 months once they see results.

Do you offer a free trial?

Sort of. Our first 30 days come with a replacement guarantee. If an engineer doesn't work out, we replace them at no cost. That's your risk-free trial.

How do payments work?

Monthly retainer billing. We send an invoice on the 1st of each month. Payment due within 15 days. Can be paid via ACH, credit card, or check.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Month-to-month contracts. 2 weeks notice to cancel (or end of current month). No early termination fees.

What if I want to hire an engineer full-time after the engagement?

Great! Many of our clients do. We charge a one-time placement fee of $15K (vs. $30K–$50K for traditional recruiting). Engineer stays on the team, your cost is lower than market.

How are engineers vetted?

Rigorous vetting: technical interviews (3–4 rounds), code reviews on real projects, reference checks with previous employers, trial projects. We accept 8% of applicants.

What if an engineer is underperforming?

We monitor closely. Monthly check-ins and quarterly reviews. If performance is an issue, we work with you and the engineer to improve. If it doesn't improve, we replace at no cost (30-day replacement guarantee).

Do engineers work on different time zones?

Yes. We match engineers who overlap 4–8 hours with your team for seamless collaboration. Most engineers on US time zones, but we have global coverage.

What level of seniority can I get?

All our engineers are senior (5+ years experience). Entry-level and mid-level engineers are not in our network. You get experienced engineers only.

Can I scale from 1 to 10+ engineers?

Yes. Start with 1 in Starter plan. Move to Growth (2–3). Scale to Enterprise (4+). Or start at Growth/Enterprise if you need larger teams immediately.

What's your refund policy?

30-day replacement guarantee (not refund). If engineer doesn't work out, we replace them at no cost within 30 days. If you cancel, you pay for services rendered. No pro-rata refunds mid-month.
