Cloud Migration Experience of a Leading Media Channel

The aim was to transform their conventional physical IT system, which was comprised of challenging storage and application environments as well as complex workflows, into a cloud-based system. This would increase scalability, control costs, guarantee content distribution and enhance coordination where teams are located in different regions.

Background

We worked with a multimedia broadcasting network that had some problems with the classical on-premises setup. Their servers received overwhelming traffic from the conflicted specifications from their audiences, who expected high-quality, on-demand content, which resulted in continuity of breakdowns and expensive costs. Further, their attempt to go global meant that they needed an affordable and efficient solution. In order to sort out these problems, the channel has embarked on a cloud migration project.

The CDN increased the rates of content delivery by roughly 40 % and thus increased the engagement of viewership.
